Trung has extensive experience and proven track record managing large property portfolios comprising 300 commercial and 2000 residential properties for the NSW Department of Housing. Prior to joining Thomas Property, Trung assisted the NSW Land & Housing Corporation to oversee the identification and divestment of properties from a portfolio comprising 126,000 dwellings across NSW. He also coordinated the development of the Department's New Generation Housing Program (also referred to as Sydney Micro Apartments) to increase the average development yield from 4 : 1, to 20 : 1 as part of the State Government's bold initiative to halve the 60,000 social housing waitlist.
During his tenure at community housing provider, New Horizons Enterprises, Trung managed the growth of a diverse property portfolio. He laid the foundations for the strategic acquisition of two mixed used and multi-storey residential development with the potential to yield 200 units. He collaborated with governments and formed partnerships with like-minded industry and corporate organisations.
At UrbanGrowth, Trung oversaw the multi-million Ageing Disability & Home Care (ADHC) property acquisition program to fast track the acquisition of properties required by ADHC. He coordinated the acquisition of sixty development sites for ADHC.
Trung took over the management of The Ponds Stage 2 and delivered several Precincts, comprising 118 residential lots. He was able to resolve issues associated with The Ponds Western Neighbourhood Park prior to handing it over to Council. He played a key role in the resolution of a 17-year issue at Miami Street, Glenwood with Almona Pty Ltd and Blacktown City Council.
At Landcom, he was responsible for the acquisition of a strategic land parcel for the temporary pumping station that allowed the development of The Ponds Stage 4 to proceed (980 lots).
Trung also co-managed the Mirvac/Landcom multi-award winning masterplanned urban development project, Newbury Estate at Stanhope Gardens (1750 lots). This development delivered approximately 150 lots per annum. He played a key role in recouping $12m from the development partner by reconciling the financial arrangement between the parties.
Trung coordinated the final stage of the high profile Display Village Homeworld IV that showcases 120 homes from 35 project home builders. He managed the delivery of three Sponsored Housing projects a charitable initiative and the Sales Office.
